Dolly Parton has revealed that her literary initiative Imagination Library

Dolly Parton has revealed that the literary imagination library initiative inspired by her late father's.

Country legend that is the basis for launching the age of 5 in Sevier County each child per month in the city's new book, send dedication, Tennessee in a bid to increase childhood literacy, especially because it was important for her father and his life was unable to read or write.

Parton told Fox411.com, "Well, it all goes back to my daddy. He was the smartest man I ever knew, but he couldn't read or write very much. He was a good provider for us, but I often wondered just how far he could have gone if he could read or write".

"Not long before he passed away, he told me that he was more proud of the Imagination Library than anything else I had ever done. So I guess if you make your Daddy proud of you, then you must be doing something right."

Parton added back because he knows her natural inclination is to go without her, adding: "I think your values are always influenced by your family and your community. We grew up poor and most everybody around me was just as poor. Even the ants never took away crumbs from our house 'cos they saw how poor we were!"

Dolly Parton has announced details about new album

Dolly Parton, a new set for release in this summer, has announced details of the album.

The country superstar releases 'Better Day' on August 29. This release is the world's largest tour in the UK at Glasgow SECC But Saturday August 21 release to coincide with the views.

Parton said of the new album: "I wanted to do an album that would be very uplifting and positive, as well as inspirational. Times are hard all over. I think people need to feel better and I thought 'Better Day' was the perfect title because it says 'hope'."

Dolly Parton during the CMA Music Festival will sign autographs

Dolly Parton during the CMA Music Festival will sign autographs on Saturday 11th June, at this time she marking her first autograph session at the event since the mid-'70s.

Parton will sign autographs starting at noon for a limited number of lucky winners in the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall inside the Nashville Convention Center.

Dozens of country stars are scheduled to sign autographs there during the festival, including Trace Adkins, Easton Corbin, Lady Antebellum, Martina McBride, Kellie Pickler, Rascal Flatts, Darius Rucker, Blake Shelton and Randy Travis.

Exclusive to four-day ticket holders entry into the Fan Fair Exhibit Hall.

Dolly Parton in Myrtle Beach for dinner theater has changed its theme

Dolly Parton in Myrtle Beach for dinner theater has changed its theme from "Dixie Stampede" to "Pirates Voyage."

Parton say, "We thought it would be fun to try a new theme, since we are on the water, and all kids like pirates and mermaids, we thought we'd create a whole new thing and if it does well, we'll build some others around the country where there's water!"

Parton
herself says a pirate that is filled with fun new theme Dressed like. Production over 11 million dollars in upgrades full size pirate ship battle and a 15-foot deep lagoon included.

"We'll have performers working the air, working water on the ships, we'll have fighting, a lot of competition between the pirates, we'll side off the audience over who is going to win the treasure."

She also wrote alongside Mark Brymer about the brand new original score.

"It's got a lot of fun stuff, sing-a-long things, stuff to entertain people with song in addition to acts that are going on at the same time."

Parton says there will also be new performers!

Parton says, "We have new animals, we have some sea lions and all sorts of other fun sea creatures this time".

But she's keeping a little of the Southern theme.

"We kept a couple horses back, we have horses that ride a the very end of the show, that ride on water, they walk on water, so to speak, these two beautiful horses take a couple of the special stars from the show, they ride off into the sunset."
